Yesterday ended up being one of those fantastic summer nights that I’m always dreaming of when the weather get’s dark, cold and grey in Denmark.
I would have postet a picture of how the muffin looked before we ate I’t, but it didn’t turn out very well. Check out Lea’s blog for more details!

Extremely loud and incredibly close
July 22, 2008
After having started this blog I have been inspired to improve my english. So (only because of the the title and layout, actually) I decided to read the book by Janathan Safran Foer called “Extremely loud and incredibly close” Turnes out to be a fantastic choice of book so far (only thirty pages… But still!) I like the characters and that it seems to be filled with very intellegent imagination in the head af a nine year old boy.

The shop where I buy my miniature stuff feels like a parallel universe.
It is a tiny very old fashioned and always crowded place, which you barely notice from the outside. It is always the same two people standing behind the counter and after having been there quite a lot recently I’ve notisted that most of the customers are the same. Everybody knows the staff, or is it the other way around?
I am by far the youngest person there.
I love the serious but silly conversations among the costumers and clerks. It always makes me smile.
Today I bought four small chairs. I’m gonna paint them black.

Merry Cherry Day
July 17, 2008
We are having a cherry celebration.
The launch of the cherry season is taking place right outside my shop. The cherry farmers asked me to make a cherry theme and so i did.
Anders and I are handing out the most delicious riped cherries to our costumers.
Beside eating a lot of cherries we have enjoyed a caramel-birthday cake and coffee. What a diet.

Stress and vegetables
July 13, 2008
I recently read that watching plants grow helps you relax from daily stress and pressure. My hope is that when I eat this homegrown tomato I will be completly in contact with all my inner chakra’s.
I’m watching sunflowers, peas, chilies and tomatoes grow in my kitchen window.
(Also, i´m not sure who is responsable, but a hemp shoot is suddently growing up in one of my living room plants, my husband watches that grow!)

Happy vacation time
July 11, 2008
The wonderfull thing about summer time is that Anders and I can eat breakfast together every day. And the shop doesn’t feel like a real job when we are both there. Tomorrow I am gonna clean up the kitchen/stockroom and then do some hairbands. A few weeks ago I got so stressed out about the “hairband factory situation” that I made an agreement with myself, that I shall “only” make ten pieces a day. After finishing my daily quote I will finally be able to work on something else with a clean concience. So far it is working out pretty well.

Scaling
July 11, 2008
So I have had a lot of difficulties starting up this blog thing. I´m not that familiar with computers yet but i´am trying to learn and with alot of help I am taking it one step at a time. The other day I accidentally ereased all the pictures on the blog and felt kind of stupid. Maybe it was okay though because in the meantime I’ve learned how to scale them into a more fitting size. So I ended up using most of my work day scaling pictures and posting them again. Now I surely know how to do that!
