Brinja København by night

October 31, 2008

Setting the clock for winter time really messed up my feeling of day and night.

It’s dark when I go home from work…

Sunny side up

October 30, 2008

I have a trainee designer in the shop this week. She is fifteen, from Esbjerg (Jutland,Denmark) and wants to become a designer some day. I’m just doing what I would normaly do and she is helping me out, It’s great with some ekstra hands.

Besides my sweet husband is training his teacher skills these days. He is attempting a six weeks course of computer education. A great thing about that (among other great things of course) is a longer than usual breakfast together.

Look-a-like sisters

October 20, 2008

People say that my sister and I look a like. I have even experienced people I dont know saying: Hey Sigga, how are you! Guess it can be a bit cunfusing. I don’t see that much of a resemblance myself,  do you?

These pictures are from Sigga and Mikkels wedding party in may this year.

Back to nature experience

October 19, 2008

On a walk in a forest (in Germany) we (Anders, Niller, Lea and I) filled up our pockets with beautiful fresh chestnuts.

There are something very exiting about collecting food in nature and bringing it home.

Here is the story in pictures…

The art of decorating

October 18, 2008

We saw surpricingly many decorating displays in both Germany and France. Mostly in restaurants, bars, guesthouses and such, but also just here and there… These are some of my favorites.

The garden gnomes are miniature and have their own garden-gnome-mini-home in somebody´s garden in Dörrenbach, Germany.

And the doll/goose combination is placed in a tiny window on a very big wall in the middle of nowhere.

My brother Niller and his girlfriend Lea early in the morning, camping in Strasbourg.

I am home again…

The lonely ballerina

October 9, 2008

I was told by a neighbourgh on Islands Brygge that once upon a time, a ballerina used to live in the appartment that became my shop.

I love to imagine how she would dance around lonely, a bit crazy and dressed in pink skirts in her home covered with flowers, mirrors, pink curtains and princess-like gowns everywere.

The first picture shows some very old wallpaper which is still here ( I can’t bare to remove it, even though it’s very old and  gone all yellow). The second is the floor on the tiny toilet,  it has been painted in seweral different shades of pink a long time ago…

My collection of cans

October 5, 2008

I inherited this fantastic collection of metal cans from my grandfather once, he was a serious collector of, well… most things.

I don’t remember how I got this idea, but I think it’s working out pretty well.

Hairdresser

October 4, 2008

Isn’t he a cuty?

I think that I’ll put him in a necklace. Let you know…

I love to dress up and I’m nearly always wearing dresses or skirts, vinter, summer, spring or fall. I like to be inspiring in my outfits when I’m in the shop, one more thing for the list of what makes a  good shopping eksperience.

Today is grey and rainy, and I’m all casual for once.  Jeans and a hootie, messy hair and no make up…
