So the “Lea Bolvig” exhibition in the shop is tomorrow and I’m getting pretty excited here:) I’m sure it will be a whole lot of fun!
For those of you who can’t be there, I promise to report the event in pictures one of the following days.
I turned 26 yesterday and Anders brought cake when he came to the shop. We had a sushi-picnic on the floor after closing hour and then a theatre date.

I would have posted a “before and after” shot of the walls in my shop. I gave them a make-over: from lots of dots to plain white. Instead of the before and after, I give you a meanwhile photo. Don’t I look handyman?

I have now organized a small part of my gigantic collection of buttens. The ideá is to sort them in colors and put them into old jars.
Most of these very old buttens used to belong to my grandmother, I inherited them when she past away some years ago.
I put them to use nearly every day now, if only she knew :) …

Getting ready for Spring

As I have mentioned before, there has been a sale in the shop lately, and I have mentioned that I am painting the walls in there aswell. The reason is that Spring is on it’s way and I’m working full time to make the shop ready!
Anders and I have been out of town for a cuple of days now, shopping for materials and exiting new items for the Spring-selection.
We have put our self to a whole lot of work, - what I mean is, we started out whith this small-painting-one-wall-project, and all of a sudden we found ourselves doing ten other different projects, we thought we might get done at the same time aswell. (Poor Anders is on vinter-vacation from school and working full time at all this).
Originally we were suppose to be done by Monday, but I’m not so sure we can make it.
Buttom line is that during the next days I’m not gonna be able to spend very much time with “Lille My” -(my pc) -I just call her “My” now… But stay tuned, I promise it’ll be worth it.
The picture has nothing to do with this text but it was all I had lying around, I’m still out of town and I didn’t bring “My”.

Dinner and a shop meeting

Once a week Anders and I have a meeting about our baby (The shop). We made this arrangement after we found out how much of our time we spend talking about shop related things, even when we are not in there.
This way we write down what comes to our mind during the weekdays and then we talk about it over dinner once a week.
Usually we just make dinner at home, but last Friday we went to a small asian place in our neighbourhood called “Kong fu bar” it’s a very cosy and not so expensive reaturant. We had a good dinner, a cold beer and a long shop-talk.

I miss working on my mini home. It’s been way too long since I’ve had time to do anything about it. The last thing I made was pictures and paintings for the living room, but that was two month ago.
I’m painting the shop these days, hopefully it will turn out great, right now I just can’t see the end of it. Pictures later…
Sunday with fashion-hangovers

Friday afternoon Anders and I went to the fashion fair “Cph vision” in Copenhagen at a place called “Øsknehallen”. Today we went to the “Copenhagen international fashion fair” at a much bigger place called “Bella centeret”. And on Saturday Anders went to a third fashion fiar without me, one that is connected to the “Cph vision”, -called Terminal 2.
I must admit that I’ve never been a big fan of all this fashion-event-fuss. But this year I decided to give it a try. (and I’m happy I did)
Now we are both extremly tired and fashion hungovered.
I didn’t take alot of pictures at any of the events, but here are a few.

About my sister

My big sister is three and a half years older than me and as have I mentioned before, people say that we look very much alike. -The thing is that we are alot alike… The older I get the more I realize.
I have always been a fan of her (as smaller siblings are suppose to) so I’m very proud of the similarities.
Sigga and I have a tendency to say the same words at the very same time -and in the very same way!
It has happened several times that we have showed up at the same event in almost the same outfit. -Whithout even knowing the other one owned the same clothes.
We kind of have the same job too. My sister and her husband has got three really cool shops in Copenhagen called “Rude”. Before I opened my own shop I used to sell my designs there; I still do, but now only few selected items.
One of the best things about Sigga is that when no one else understands me, she always seems to know exactly what I mean.
I could tell you alot more about her, but you will get more along the way, -this is it for now.
I have smaller sister and an older brother too (just as fabulus) -that I haven’t even come around to tell you about yet…
Two nights out

I was out for a beer with a girlfriend on Tuesday night. We went to a place called “The Moose” where I used to hang out alot when I was yunger. (And no, I didn’t accidentally go to the mens room. On “Moose” toilets are unisex)
I havent been to this bar for five years but it looked exactly the same (I guess I’m the one who has changed) It was even the same staff behind the counter.
Yesterday I went to a party hosted by a friend of mine who is leaving for Berlin today. He is going to study there for a looong time. So I’m planning to go there and visit as soon as I have more time.
I feel like the weekend has already come and gone -and it’s not even Friday.

I seriously considered cheating, because of the not very interesting picture -but decidet not to.

I am proud to present my new hairband display that I found in a container yesteday. I think it was ment for plates, but it works great whith hairbands. The only thing I did was to clean it up and add a pair of fittings -voila! Cheap, pretty and practical.
Uh, and I found two little charis -that I’m gonna clean up and sew new seats for… let you know!
Rules of a pillow fight

When I was a kid my brother, sister and I had this pillow-fight-game we used to play.
All you need is a big bed and lots of pillows.
The rules are simple; collect all the pillows you can find in the house and divide them into three equal piles, pick a coner of the bed and build a base with your pile of pillows. -On three, you have to steal as much pillows as possible from the other players corners, -while watching out for enemies snatching yours. The person with most pillows in the end is the winner!
These are some pillows I made for the shop last week. They are retro-furniture fabric on one side and new cotton fabric on the other.
I found these pillows through “Desire to inspire”. I really like their 50ies look and the pretty colors.
Anders’s glasses are ready to be picked up today! I hope I can get him to model for me. We’will see…

Magic, beauty, opportunity and -television

Okay so after three years whitout a TV, I gave in. Here you have it.
The word; television, makes me think of the opening scene of the movie “The million dollar hotel” It’s a really great scene.
-Which reminds me that I once bought the movie on dvd and somebody borrowed it, but I can’t remember who?
Well, this is the monolog from the opening scene:
