Summer has most definitely arrived!
June 30, 2009
I am so sorry but I haven’t had time to do a Tuesday-tutorial this week, time has just flown by, -I promise I’ll make it up to you…
I started summer sale in the shop yesterday, most shops in Copenhagen already started sale weeks ago -so I figured; why not now? -And I can tell you, people really like sale… I have not been sitting down for two minutes ever since putting up the “sale” sign yesterday:) -Udsalg means sale in Danish…

Tomorrow is a day I have been looking very much forward to; I’m going to wonderful Berlin to visit this fashion-fair -and my friend Kristian -YAY, can’t wait!
I’m not sure how long I’ll be gone, or if I will be able to blog every day as usual -but I will try to check in whenever possible. -Meanwhile Susi is the boss of “Brinja Kbh”.
So long!
Rock on!

Islands Brygge, Copenhagen…
June 24, 2009

Once again I find myself way behind in answering comments -I will get to it very soon , promise!
The last couple of days have been busy busy busy… Islands Brygge is packed because summer is finally here and it seems like everyone decided to come to the harbour for a sunbathe. -I keep wondering why all these people aren’t at work?
I took this picture from the sky last night and made a mark for you to (almost) see my shop…
How-to Tuesday: Sailor shirt!
June 23, 2009
This is a tutorial on how to make a plain v-neck t-shirt into a fancy-sailor shirt!
What you need is; a plain shirt, white cotton ribbon, scissors, needles and a sewing machine.

1. Cut a long piece of ribbon and pin the center of the ribbon to the center of the neck. Then pin it all the way around leaving the two ends to hang down in the front of the shirt.

2. Sew with a zig-zag stitch in the center of the ribbon and all around the collar of the shirt.

3. tie a knot at the end of the ribbon-straps and make a bow.

Voilá… Now you have a cool and casual sailor inspired summer look!

This is my wonderful little sister!
June 21, 2009
My little sister Hildur has just graduated ninth grade and is of to high school after this summer. -My big sister Sigga and I decided to treat her with a Sunday of just us girls, to celebrate her last day of school and that she has done fantastic in all her exams! -Hildur is an amazing little book-worm:)
We had so much fun doing photos of Hildur posing as a model -On these pictures she is wearing clothes from my shop. – Tomorrow I’ll show you some pictures of her wearing clothes from Siggas shop…

What’s for dinner?
June 20, 2009
Anders has been cooking like a crazy little tornado all week -I feel so spoiled… Here are some of my delicious servings.
Our current obsession is apple juice with sparkling mineral water, it’s really good -not to sweet and very refreshing…
Ps. Notice the poster in our hallway on the first picture!

My workshop and my Country dream…
June 18, 2009

My home-office post the other day was very popular -So I thought you might like this… It’s a peek at a corner of my shop where I keep some of the materials I use when I sew.
unfortunately I don’t always feel like I have a enough work space in the shop (besides I get disrupted all the time:), so once in a while I bring home a lot of stuff and fill up our entire apartment with machines, patterns and materials… I like those days!
-I dream of some day to live in a big house somewhere quiet and with a lot of space, space to sew, space to paint, space for building projects, space for hammocks, space enough to build secret caves in the trees, space for hens, space for my own kitchen garden and maybe even space for a dog or two (although dogs usually scare me to death). -In my dreams this is perfect! -In reality I’m not sure I would be able to adjust. I’m a city girl and have been so all my live…Well I’ll never know if I never try -some day I have to give it a go!
It’s a CELEBRATION!

A very special thank you to all my fabulous readers and fellow bloggers for all your comments and interest -you’re the best!

Surprise dinner!
June 12, 2009
Anders made me a surprise dinner last night, he was suppose to play football and come home late but due to an all day long rainfall his football match got cancelled, -and when I came home, to what I thought was an empty apartment, a beautiful table was set with all my favourite kind of cheese, ham, sausages, fruit, and red wine… I’m pretty sure I married the perfect guy!

Unfortunately I didn’t take any pictures; -sometimes Anders thinks I do to much photoghraphing around here… Anyway this is a picture from another night, but it’s still cheese and red wine!

The tag!
June 10, 2009
-Susi got it from Lina and gave it to me; I think that Xavia -who originally made the tag actually said; favorite things about summer, but this became my version…
Five things I look forward to this summer:

1. Vacation, freckles and bare feet.
2. Long summer nights with good food, music and friends.
3. Madonna concert in August.
4. That Anders have a long vacation and we can be in the shop together.
5. To be able to wear dresses without tights.
And I’ll pas on the tag to Lea, Mette, Lisa, Rynke and Parisa -Good luck!

Flea marked find…
June 8, 2009

I found this poster (-and a few other very useful things) on a flea marked yesterday. My home has become just a little bit to “sweet” lately, so I figure this is exactly what I need to get some roughness and edge around here.
Have a great Monday everyone…
