Wednesday…

I have made jewellery today, rings and earrings. Uh, and I have been working on a Cheerleader costume for my little sister, she is attending a party at her high school this weekend with an American-high-school-theme -so far I have made a tight white t-shirt with a big blue “H” on the front, (her name is Hildur) and a matching blue mini skirt, tomorrow I´ll make some pom poms all she needs then is a ponytail and a pair of trainers… Hopefully she’ll be prom queen after this :)

Ps. My hobby has made it all the way to Norway now, today “Aften posten” has an article about my minihome; you can read it here!.

Blackberry jam

Anders recipe on blackberry jam:

Blackberries,

Sugar,

Brandy,

Lemon juice,

Water,

Boil the berries 10 min. in water and lemon juice, add sugar and boil for another 10 min. put in the brandy and set the whole thing on fire. Stir thoroughly and cool down. Easy huh!

The berries are from Anders parents garden by their house on “Orø”, we keep a big bunch of them in our freezer and use them for smoothies and stuff like that.

A wedding day and a happy announcement

This picture was taken on the 27th of September 2007, the day Anders and I got married! -Boy, those two years went by fast…

Could you find a more perfect day for happy announcements?    -I have one!

If everything goes as planned, Anders and I are going to have a baby this Spring. I wanted to be as sure as you can be with these kind of things before telling you… Three and a half month feels like forever when you walk around with such exciting news in your stomach!

Maybe you’ve already noticed that I’m not as reliable as I used to be when it comes to posting every day, and even though I don’t have a big stomach yet, you might have noticed it growing lately… I’m having trouble with my “What I wore posts” because I don’t  really feel like dressing up and I can’t fit into most of my jeans or skirts any more. I’m working on a new idea for the weekly fashion post to compensate, but I’ll keep you posted on this.

Besides being crazy tired I feel great, and we are both so happy and very excited!

We are celebrating our wedding anniversary tonight at this restaurant.

Luckily the wood has gone lost

Last night I finished  the miniature-house dining room chairs. I made the seats (out of very thick cardboard) a long time ago, but couldn’t decide how to make the legs. I ended up folding them in metal wire. The reason why I didn’t  just do this at first, was that I actually didn’t think it would work out good enough. I admit they could be more detailed, but I’m satisfied with this result.

I’m having the day off and so far I’m enjoying every single second of it :-) the sky is so so blue and the sun shines beautifully trough my windows. On days like this a quiet place, a book and a cup of coffee is my idea of perfect. I’m reading a book of poems by an old friend of mine “Peter-Clement Woetmann” this book is called “Heldigvis er skoven blevet væk”=”Luckily the wood has gone lost”

Cowardy custard…

Materials: Ribbon, scissors, glue-gun and some kind of hair accessory.

Today I was asked to participate in a danish television show called “Go morgen Danmark” = “Good morning Denmark”, they would like to bring a story about me and the mini-home. Unfortunately I´m such a chicken and I had to tell them no thanks. Quite a compliment though, huh?

Wednesday at work

I have had a great day in the shop with lots of nice customers and friends visiting.  These are just some random pictures I took along the day. The porcelain mannequin head broke a long time ago and I glued the pieces together one by one, after getting used to it like this, I have grown to like it even more than before…

In the paper!

There is an article about me and my mini-home in the Danish newspaper “Berlingske tidende” today, it is written by Sara Skarum who found me though this blog. The pictures (in the paper) is by Nicolai Linares.

Once again I’m surprised by how people find this project fascinating, it makes me so flattered. When I first started out two years ago I would never had thought anyone but me would be interested. Seems I was wrong…

I haven’t  done much to the mini-home recently . I’ve  been in a  slow-moving-phase working on the house but things like these makes me really motivated, it is such a wonderful compliment. Now I can’t wait to build something, I’m just not sure what?

Hello Monday…

Monday again so soon, huh? This weekend was way to short -brilliant, but way to short!

Anders and I have been watching episodes of “Mad men” on dvd for way to many hours last night, so I´m not really awake just yet…

Surprise party…

My brother Niller handed in his thesis this Monday and last night my sister Sigga and I threw him a surprise party.

We had balloons, flags, wine, presents, lots of food and excellent company. Besides that Niller was totally surprised so this party was a great success!

What I wore…

This is not my favourite week, I haven´t felt that inspired in the dress up department lately. Maybe it is because of the rainy weather -Honestly what I really fell like is keeping on my pyjamas all day long…

Rainy Thursday…

Fall is officially here and it has been raining all day long, the streets are empty – and so are my shop, which I find very cosy.  I´m doing all kinds of things that I wouldn’t have time to do on a normal day… -like bogging!

And I have had time to finish these bow t-shirts that I have had lying around for quite a while now.
