Felt animals
February 9, 2010
It’s funny how these animals turn out with such different personalities. I don’t use a pattern to make them and I try my best to make them all similar but inattentional, they all end up differently. Example: A panda, a raccoon and a bear!
By the way I´m almost falling asleep so I´ll answer all your great comments tomorrow when I have the entire day off, Hooray!
Queen of Africa!
February 8, 2010
My sweet girlfriend Simone brought me (and the baby) this beautiful doll as a present all the way from Ghana! I’m thrilled; It’s a handmade product made only from recycled materials like old rice-bags and it can be turned both ways -so it’s actually two dolls in one. It has amazing details like earrings, hairdos and tons of colourful fabrics sewn together.
I have known Simone since I was four and I have been crazy about her ever since, she can light up any room with her smile.
Last year Simone spend 9 month in Ghana as part of her education as a kindergarten teacher and last month she went back to visit her Ghana friends. She just returned all freckled and happy and I was paid a visit, plus wonderful Ghana-gifts like this doll! Lucky lucky me :)
Ps. And lucky Anders; as you can probably tell he fell in love with the doll instantly. I wonder if our baby ever gets a chance to play with it.
What Young wore this week
February 7, 2010
Ohh, pretty pretty pretty…. I have met ‘Young‘ via ‘Lea‘ through blog-land. She’s from Copenhagen, Denmark like me! Go visit her blog ‘Half girl’ -it’s worth it!
Anders and I have spend our weekend here. I’m tired today and I’m gonna spend the rest of it on the couch…
Black and white…
February 6, 2010
My dad and my step-mum are mowing to the countryside soon and therefore they have started to tidy up in their city-apartment step by step. This apartment is my childhood home. I went to visit them last night and found these pictures from 1997 (wich I just realized is 13 years ago -WOW)
I did a lot of photographing back then (with an old single -lens reflex camera) and was lucky enough to be able to play with the photographic process at home. My dad used to create his own photos when my siblings and I was kids, he taught me what he knew and I experimented away… These are only negatives and samples.
Niller looks silly and Hildur looks so cute and tiny in her sailor dress.

What Katrina wore this week
January 23, 2010
This is Katrina from Millbrae, California. She hosts the very pretty blog Pugly Pixel and when I recently discovered her blog I instantly fell in love with her style .
Katrina is a tomboy by heart, greatly inspired by menswear, but she like’s to wear such pieces balanced by some feminine detail (ie. a pearl bracelet, floral earrings, red lipstick, or a satin pink headband…). Katrina’s first style influence was Andie (played by Molly Ringwald) in Pretty in Pink and her ultimate fashion icons are Katharine Hepburn and Diane Keaton.
I know I can’t keep saying this; but I really think this is one of the best fashion-weeks I’ve shown you.
Baby carriage decoration…
January 23, 2010
I never did show you the result of these tiny fellows. This is a… well I don’t know what it’s called but it’s a decoration to hang on a baby carriage. I wonder if there’s a Danish word for something like this?
Re-decorated apartment
January 20, 2010
Once again I have re-decorated our apartment. My thought was to make things a bit lighter and more cheerful in this Winter-darkness. So I got rid of our big dark patterned carpets and removed all the paintings and pictures from our big dining-room wall, then I have switched around two big maps (A Europe map and a World map) to bring the lightest one from our bedroom into our dining-room. And I have also made a new wall-papered wall at the end of our dining table where I have re-hung half the paintings I took down from the other wall…
In our tiny hallway where we have a blinded door into the living room I have hung up an old 60′ties lamp we had lying around, this suddenly made the hallway seem like it’s own little room and not just a walk-though-place. It took me a little bit by surprise how cosy the hall way became Anders and I was so happy with the result -we almost felt like bringing chairs out there to read a book in the ‘new room’ :)…
I didn’t do all these things on one day, little by little through the last (many) weeks. This photo is from our hallway I will show more when the sun comes out and I can shoot some better pictures.
Freeezing Copenhagen…
January 19, 2010
I took these pictures from a small bridge I cross on my way to work in the morning. The rare sight of sun shining through the clouds made me stop my bike for a short photo-shoot, even though it’s to cold to stand still if only for 20 seconds. Ughhh… cold cold cold…
Baby organizing!
January 18, 2010
Sometimes I scare myself with how organized I like things to be… It gives me a great feeling of control! -Not like things around here always ARE perfectly organized I just really like it when they are.
Anyway… I have had this urge to get some kind of overview of the ‘necessary-baby-stuff-situation’… I guess it’s probably some kind of ‘building-a-perfect-family-nest-syndrome’ I’m going through here. -When I have these outer things in place -I’m more relaxed inside (that’s the logic). And even though I have felt like doing all this baby-organizing for several months now I have kept it in control and not done anything about it… until I went second-hand shopping this weekend. I will make it an honer to buy all the necessary baby-stuff second hand and it seems it’s going to be easy, there are a bunch of very good second-hand-baby-shops in Copenhagen (Mødrehjælpen.dk) -that I have never even noticed before. This weekend I went for a bike ride to visit a few of them and the result is a perfectly organized baby-stuff-draw in my closet! (It was when I found myself folding, measuring, counting and organizing this draw I suddenly scared myself a little bit)

Cabochon earrings
January 13, 2010
I was thrilled when I found these cabochon-”beads” I have been looking for them for quite a while.
They are vintage and originally from West Germany.
I’ve turned them into pretty ear-stickers in various colours and shapes… They will be in my shop by this weekend.

What Stéphanie wore this week
January 9, 2010
There are many reasons why I like this fashion-week. First of all I love how Stéphanie’s style is so bold and confident . I like how the Tuesday-helmet brings story and rughness into the week and last but not least I love the combination of long brown hair and the colour red :) -this is probably because I can’t pull it of with my colours at all.
Stéphanie is inspired by the sixties and seventies and a big fan of vintage items. Her favourite fashion icon is Jane Birkin. She creates her own bags and jewelry to match her clothes, cool!
Stéphanie is from france and has this very pretty blog: Le blog de Stéphanie!
Sale is up!
January 8, 2010

Miniature home…
January 6, 2010
I have seriously neglected my mini-home lately and I’m drowning in things that has to be re-placed or re-done down there…
This baby in my belly is already making it harder for me to get things done. -Both because I’m really tired most of the time, but also because I’m slowly starting to rearrange our real-live-home and make it more baby-friendly. I’m tidying up closets and shelf’s to make more room for all the baby-stuff that has already begun to sneak in here.
Anyway our home looks different than usual and it’s probably going to continue to change for a while forward so my motivation towards the mini-home has left me for a while. Hopefully it’ll be back again soon…
Working at home…
January 4, 2010
Now that I have hired some girls to help me take care of the shop, I am working most of my days at home…
Our living room has become a very messy but cosy workshop.
Ps. I am looking so much forward to sunny weather -it’s almost impossible to take good pictures in this darkness.

What Alice wore this week…
January 2, 2010
Meet Alice from California, USA.
Alice is currently studying psychology and (just like me) she likes to create things such as clothes and accessories.
My personal favourite this week is Wednesday, I like the white scarf – red blouse combination.
Visit Alice’s blog here: Laiking! -and have a geat weekend everyone….
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!
January 1, 2010
I have not forgotten about you, but there has been many other thing on my mind lately.
I was really suppose to just relax at home this week, but after doing that for a couple of hours, I got bored and felt like doing something. So I have been sewing a bunch of “Spring-stuff” for the shop; pillows, skirts, dresses and some toys. I have also made new necklaces and spend a whole day searching for just the right materials for future projects.
Then there was New year’s eve; Anders made a brilliant dinner and we had guests, music and lots of fun…
I’m looking forward to get some more blogging done and to go to work tomorrow, after all these holidays it’ll be nice to get back into a more steady routine again.
See you soon… -B
