What Elise wore this week

June 7, 2010

This is Elise from Canberra, Australia. ‘Broom people’ is her blog.

It was meant to be a weekend-post really, but days just flew by and now it’s Monday again.

Summer has definitely arrived. We’ve had a very warm and very sunny weekend and today is rain rain rain. I’m dreaming of a bike like this -hopefully it will be my next big investment. Does any of you have one and do you have experience or advice to share?

This is fun to see outfits from where winter is starting to set in! I especially like Wednesday! Great pattern and color mixing!!!

i´m dreaming of this kind of bike, too :=)(bakfiets.nl), it seem to be perfect when you have children, somebody told me that the *bakfiets* with one wheel is faster/better to ride.

Loving Wednesday best of all… but, really, all put my week to shame. I seem to live forever in the same thing.

    Hi Brinja,
It’s true, the bikes at bakfiets.nl (probably for sale in Denmark too) are steadier than the ones with two wheels at the end.
I have a baby too, and I bike with him all the time! I just stick the Maxi-Cosi in (in a special holder) and off we go. He loves it!

These types of bikes are very very popular in Amsterdam. Most people have them instead of a car (too hard to park a car anywhere). They are also made by http://www.fietsfabriek.nl/.

    What about this one:

They are a lighter and faster than the original Christiania-bikes.

Elise! Thanks to Australia for going above and beyond (literally) to look for and find Abby Sunderland. I don’t know her at all, but what your country did was really fabulous!!!
