Pine cone decoration

Here is a simple idea for you!

Materials used : cotton string, vintage beads,  a pine cone and that’s it…

I have made a bunch of these for the shop too. If you’re not up for the making-part.

Good news

My pc charger is back and so am I! Oh, what a relieve that was.

Remember how I told you a long long time ago I was working on something new?  Well, I was and I still am… It’s a new blog! -or a new blog layout at least.

I’m getting help from my sweet (and might I add very very skilled) big brother… but the thing is we are both busy busy people and time is not what it used to be… it takes time… but but but, within long, hopefully, this blog will have a new and much prettier look.

I’m not sure what has happened, but the pictures on this blog all of a sudden went nuts and changed sizes yesterday???  I didn’t do anything…. Does not look very good. Argh! Hopefully it will get back to normal again…

Still missing

I had hoped to avoid getting to know Anders computer. But my blog-craving has become too strong. And it seems my pc charger has decided to stay at a hotel in Germany for a lot longer than we did!

After a visit to at least 10 different stores looking for a replacement, it turns out that not just any charger will do. I cant get the one I need… My hope is, that it will show up in the mail soon. Fingers crossed. Until then Anders pc have to do!

We have been at a party today, celebrating my beautiful nephew Linus name… unfortunately I forgot my camera and once again you guys are left with pictures from the shop.

A big change

Anders and I have made quite a big change in our everyday live recently. Anders is no longer a full time teacher! he is now part time self-employed at ‘Brinja Kbh’ and part time teaching.

From the very beginning of the shop more than 7 years ago, he has been a big part of the business. But work, in and around the shop, keeps growing and growing. And at the same time, we have tons of new ideas, but not enough time to make them real.

Hopefully this way, we will be able to do many more exciting new projects together.

On a Tuesday

I have brought Vilja to work today. She’s napping, I’m blogging…

News in the shop…

1: I spend a great deal of last week making new  jewellery. Here’s ear-studs. 2: Paper goods, books and so on… 3: Pretty drawings in pretty frames. 4: Leather gloves in candy colours.

A day

1: breakfast. Greek yoghurt with honey and oatmeal+coffee. 2: Vilja jumping puddles outside the shop. 3: Things in the shop: deco-paper, silver flowers for decoration, Japanese books and postcards. 4: Shop; Oilcloth, storage boxes, paper goods and so on. 5:Risotto with scrimps and mushrooms.

Okay… wrap out a billion boxes. Tidy up the overloaded stockroom. Red lipstick on, and I’m off for a girls night out with my sister. Couldn’t wish for a better agenda.

Glimses of today

New windows in the shop = no more worries about cold winter days. A sweet neighbour of the shop stopped by with that beautiful zucchini -just because. And Cecilia on the picture, had her first shift today.

Flea marked finds

I went to a flea marked last weekend while Anders, Vilja and I were on a short summerhouse getaway.

These old marked finds were so dusty, Vilja and I had to bring out a water hose.

Painting, moving around and reorganising the shop these days. To make room for all the new fantastic Autumn stuff…

Next generation

Vilja is quite the little store-manager! She sure knows her way around the place and she talks about it as her shop.

When she gets tired from all the hard work she makes herself a carpet-bed and takes a nap.

Greens and vegetables

Activity

Yesterday as an attempt to get away from all the billion things on my to-do list, I decided leave it all at home and take Vilja on a spontaneous trip to where the air is fresh and the food is fantastic. My parents place.

5 minutes walk from their house this activity-playground-place was waiting for our first visit.

Now I want to go back there too…

Today  was my first day back in the shop after a week of lovely family vacation (and a little bit work)

A little help?

A great thing about summer (although it doesn’t really fell like summer at the moment) is that I get to meet some of all you bloggers and readers out there.

Today Stéphanie from France stopped by the shop. last week I had Malene visiting and the week before that  Katja from Germany was here. I have had the honour of meeting many more of you, but I seem to have lost track along the way. So sorry! Please say hi again and leave me a note so I can refresh my memory. That would be great!
